NYP BLOCK K LEVEL 3 SIMULATION LAB
In our pursuit to revolutionize nursing education globally, our future-proof design concept centers around creating dynamic and organic interior spaces a Healthcare Simulation Center. This innovative approach converges the theatrical front stage and backstage, offering nursing students an immersive and engaging learning experience that mirrors real hospital scenarios. The primary goal is to improve the learning experiences for nursing students, preparing them more effectively for the challenges of the healthcare environment while enhancing their engagement.
Understand The Zone

Centralized Control Room
Trainers observe the students who practice in the simulation room.
Pain points: Trainers are not able to observe the students who are in the debrief room.
Simulation Room
2 – 5 students will be running out the scenarios.
Pain points: Underperformance of the one-way mirror creates inconvenience for the students to see through.
Debrief Room
The less of students are sitting here for observation and debriefing after scenarios end.
Pain points: Insufficient room depth and capacity for students. The seats are too close together.

What if simulation lab is like a theatre?
Theatrically designed to provide an immersive learning experience, resembling real healthcare scenarios. With dynamic features, it transforms into a captivating stage for students, enhancing both practice and observation in a unique and impactful environment.
Proposed Layout

Conceptualization is at the core of our design philosophy, challenging conventional norms that dictate how educational spaces should be. Instead, we focus on creating spaces that are not only functional but also dynamic and organic. This approach aligns with the belief that a stimulating environment contributes to better learning outcomes and student motivation.

The key component in our future-proof design is adaptability, ensuring that the learning environment remains relevant as healthcare and educational methodologies evolve.
